So much to learn about real estate investing from Michael LantripWe will be exploring the book "50 Real Estate Investing Calculations" by Michael Lantrip to help you make your investment decisions. So let's hunker down with this winter read to focus on on only the highlights from the updated 2019 version with every calculation imaginable. As stated in the book, it does not claim to be "a promise that you will make money investing in real estate, nor is it an explanation of how to do it". This week the word is "Appreciation", in general terms, is an increase in the value of an asset over time. The increase can occur for a number of reasons, including increased demand or weakening supply, or as a result of changes in inflation or interest rates. The formula Lantrip outlines is A = (PV - OV) divided by OV, "where A is the Appreciation Percentage, PV is the Present Value, and OV is the Original Value".
